Description
Milestone located 120 metres south of Trough Sike, likely dating from around 1830 and associated with the London Lead Company. It is made of painted ashlar and stands approximately 0.8 metres high, featuring a slightly chamfered round top. The front of the milestone is inscribed with "ALSTON 12 MIDDLETON 10" in black Roman capitals.
