Description
Hole Dam Farmhouse is a farmhouse with an adjoining barn, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed from sandstone rubble with quoins, and features roofs made of stone flags and Welsh slates. The building is two storeys high and has eight bays in a linear plan, with a one-storey, one-bay pent extension on the left side.
The first bay has a low segmental-headed arch, with a single-light window above it on the right. The three-bay house section has a central partly-glazed door flanked by late 19th-century sash windows, all set beneath painted thin wood lintels. The adjoining two-bay cottage has side steps leading to a door on a raised ground floor, with a 16-pane sash window to the right. On the first floor, there is an 8-pane narrow light on the left and a 6-pane sash window on the right. The barn on the right features a boarded door beneath a thin wood lintel.
