Description
Nos. 17 and 19 on Front Street are two houses, likely built in the early 18th century, with some alterations from the 19th century. They feature painted rough render and a boulder plinth on the right side. The roofs are covered with concrete tiles and include brick, rendered, and ashlar chimneys. The houses are two low storeys tall and consist of four bays. Each house has a half-glazed 20th-century door with an overlight on the left side, and a canted bay on the right featuring late 19th-century sash windows with flat roofs. The first floor has similar sash windows with projecting stone sills and lintels at the eaves. The steeply-pitched roof has swept eaves, with a corniced brick chimney on the right side of No. 17 and a rendered chimney with an embattled ashlar band on the right side of No. 19.
