Description

The Old Vicarage and The Surgery is an early 19th-century house and surgery, originally built as a vicarage. The building is constructed of ashlar stone with painted, tooled ashlar dressings and quoins, and has a roof of synthetic tiles with stone gable copings. It is two storeys high and has four bays. Steps lead to a six-panel door with a patterned overlight in a plain stone surround, located in the second and fourth bays. Sashes with glazing bars are set in plain stone surrounds above the doors, and similar sashes are found in full-height bow windows with flat roofs. The roof has moulded kneeler details and three large ridge chimneys with plinths. A smaller square banded chimney is located to the right of centre.
