Description

The gate piers and walls located north of the Community Centre in Middleton in Teesdale were built in 1861. They consist of six piers positioned at the ends and at two entrances within a dwarf wall. The structure features coursed squared sandstone with chamfered ashlar coping and ashlar piers. The Gothic-style piers are chamfered and square, complete with plinths and pyramidal coping. The 20th-century railings and gates are not considered of interest.
