Description

The Former United Bus Company Canteen, built in 1842 by J.L. Pearson, is a two-storey structure located on North Road in Durham and Framwellgate. It features coursed squared sandstone with chamfered quoins, an ashlar plinth, and decorative stone dressings. The roof is made of Welsh slate and includes a rendered chimney. The building has three bays and a central entrance with renewed steps leading up to a six-panelled double door framed by a wide architrave. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, adorned with painted flat stone lintels and projecting stone sills. The low-pitched hipped roof has a chimney on the front slope.
