Description
The Vicarage of St George, built in 1884, is a Grade II listed building located in Cullercoats. It is possibly designed by J.L. Pearson. The structure is made of snecked sandstone with ashlar dressings and features a roof of graduated Lakeland slate, topped with rock-faced, polygonal, coped stone chimneys. The building has an irregular plan and consists of two storeys with three bays across the front and four bays along the side.
The east elevation showcases a two-centred-arched door set back in a north porch, which is framed by a rock-faced arch and a dripmould. To the left, there is a projecting five-light stone-mullioned bay, while to the right, a three-light mullioned and transomed window can be found. Above these, there are tripartite and two-light windows, with similar windows on the returns. The gables are adorned with bargeboards and stone finials.
