Description
This is an outbuilding, likely built in the mid-18th century, with a mid-19th century addition at the rear. It is constructed from sandstone rubble that is brought to course, with roughly dressed quoins, while the mid-19th century addition features dressed sandstone. The building has a moderately-pitched, two-span roof covered with graduated green slate.
The front has a Dutch door in the right bay, accompanied by a 6-pane sash window to the left and two similar windows above. The double-gabled right side has an external stone staircase leading to a first-floor boarded door. Originally a single-storey structure, the rear was raised in the mid-19th century and now includes two 12-pane horizontal sliding sash windows. This outbuilding is included for its group value with Walker Hall.
