Description
This outbuilding, located northeast of Demesne House, is likely an original stable with a loft, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble with large quoins. The main roof is covered with corrugated asbestos, while the right section features a Welsh slate roof. The building is one storey high, consisting of two bays, with a slightly lower one-storey extension that has one bay.
The main section has four side steps leading up to an old boarded Dutch door set in irregular-block jambs with a flat stone lintel above. There are two vent slits on the left side. The right extension has a boarded Dutch door beneath a re-used stone lintel on the left side, and there is a very long quoin that may have been a re-used gate-post. The roof of the left part is low-pitched, while the right part has been renewed at a lower pitch, with the gables remaining at the previous pitch. This building is included for its group value with the surrounding structures.
