Description
Nos. 1 and 2 Plas Cottages are a row of 19th century estate cottages, originally three but now two, featuring whitewashed rendered walls and stone-tiled roofs. They have four yellow brick chimneys with slate cornices. Each cottage is one and a half storeys tall and double fronted, with a central door and a pair of small-paned casement windows on each side. There is a similar window above that breaks the eaves under the gables. The cottages have stone sills and timber lintels.
The left pair of cottages has chimneys on the left side, while the right cottage is slightly higher due to the slope of the land and has chimneys at both ends, with the left chimney being thicker. There are outshut rears except for the end of the leftmost cottage, and each cottage has two tiny rear windows located under the eaves.
The left cottage features a half-glazed door for No. 2, the centre cottage has a blocked door and has been combined with the cottages on either side, and the right cottage has a 20th century enclosed gabled porch added to No. 1, which has imitation stone tiles, along with a 20th century addition at the right end. The property has not been inspected.
