Description

The cartshed at Plas Machen is a single-storey structure built from purple rubble stone and topped with an asbestos sheet hipped roof. The front features five elliptical-arched cart entries, each arch constructed with tooled cut stone voussoirs and separated by square stone piers. The left arch is slightly wider than the others. Inside, the building retains four oak tie-beam and collar trusses, with the collars bolted.
