Description
The Baltic Oil Works is a mid-19th century warehouse that stands three storeys tall. Its exterior features random rubble stonework with ashlar quoining and flat-topped window arches that include keystones. The roof is low pitched and slated, with coped gables. The long side of the building has five windows, some of which are barred while others have shutters. The ground floor has openings with double doors that are offset to the right-hand end. The gable end facing the road has three windows. There is a painted advertisement on a black background between the second and third floors that reads "BALTIC OIL WORKS HENRY MORRIS. LTD BALTIC OIL & GREASE WORKS." Additionally, there is a later two-storey range at the southeast corner, which has random rubble elevations with brick dressings around the windows and quoins, some of which are blocked. This section also features a gabled slated roof.
