Description
Panta Grange Farmhouse is a two-storey, L-shaped building dating from the 18th century, constructed from rendered and painted rubble stone with a Welsh slate roof. The main range features a double-gabled extension at the rear. The front elevation includes a central entrance flanked by two windows on the ground floor, and three 6 over 6 pane sash windows with horns above. The entrance door is narrower than the original, positioned off-center under a small flat hood. There are rubble stacks at both ends of the main range. To the right, the L-shaped wing projects forward by one bay, featuring a 6 over 6 pane sash window below and a paired 4 over 4 pane sash window above.
On the rear elevation, there is a modern plastic door and a 6 over 6 pane sash on the ground floor to the left, along with a small lean-to extension. Above, there are three additional 6 over 6 pane sashes. To the right, a late 20th-century extension has been added, featuring two differently sized gables with modern windows and a door. The left wing includes a cat-slide extension with a double 6 over 6 pane sash and another 6 over 6 pane sash to its right. A third rubble stack is located on the gable end.
Only part of the ground floor was visible during the re-survey, which has been fully modernized and includes a replacement staircase. The roof structure is expected to be principal rafter.
