Description

Fish Pool Dam is a structure made of rubble sandstone walling. On the upstream side, it features eight low arches with elliptical heads that serve as sluices. The downstream side includes spillways from these arches, along with an over-spill or fish ladder located to the right. Currently, the dam maintains a water head of 3.5 meters. It measures approximately 20 meters in length and 2.5 meters in width. The crest of the dam was rebuilt in the late 20th century as part of its ongoing use as a fishing lake.
