Description
The reservoir dam is approximately 65m long WNW-ESE, in the form of a concave concrete wall. In the centre is a spillway and weir, which has quarried rubble stone side walls with concrete copings, and concrete stream bed. Built into the rear face of the dam is a circular valve tower, enabling extraction of water from the reservoir by a siphon, leading to an outlet tunnel at the base of the dam wall, approximately 75 metres N, under a stone arch and splayed flanking walls, with the date 1920 inscribed on the keystone.
