Description
Gorsddu is a farmhouse and outbuilding built in line under a single roof. The farmhouse is constructed from colourwashed rubble stone, while the barn is whitewashed. It features a close-eaved slate roof and has one square roughcast stack located between the house and the barn. The house has been extended in the 19th century to the right, featuring a full-height structure with a brick cambered-arched cart-entry. The main part of the house includes two 20th-century windows on each floor and a central four-panel door. The ground floor windows are spaced slightly further apart than those on the upper floor, and both have stone slab lintels and stone sills. There is a rear lean-to attached to the house.
To the left of the farmhouse is the barn or animal shelter, which was added with a straight joint. It has one tall loft door centered above and slightly to the left of a ground floor part-blocked door, with a similar door further left. There is a 20th-century addition to the right of the barn, and the rear wall is blank.
Inside, the left room on the ground floor features square section chamfered and stopped joists, two heavy beams, and a massive chamfered beam serving as the fireplace lintel. The room also has a narrow stair and board doors.
