Ynys Eidiol

Ynys Eidiol is a farmhouse that includes a lower barn or cow-house aligned with it. The building is constructed of whitened rubble and features slate roofs, with the rear of the house rendered. The house is two storeys high and has a three-window range, with a continuous outshut added in the 19th century at the rear. The doorway is located to the left of center, positioned between two windows of the main hall on the right and a single window of the parlour. This doorway is a 19th-century opening with cambered heads, while the windows are all 20th-century, likely based on earlier designs. There is a blocked doorway, which was the original entrance, in front of the right-hand stack. The outshut has additional windows in its gable end, along with a doorway and another window in its low rear elevation.

To the right, the long barn or cow-house range steps down and features a small boarded window at the junction with the house, as well as a loft door that breaks through the eaves beyond. The barn has a doorway to the left of center, a small boarded window beyond that, and another doorway at the right-hand end.

While not seen, it is recorded that the house has a hall and parlour plan, with an original entrance lobby (now blocked) positioned against the main fireplace in the hall, which once served both the house and the cow-house. There is also a small 19th-century entrance passage with a staircase located between the parlour and the hall.
