Description

Ty Brych is a farmhouse and barn, built as a single range. The buildings are constructed of rubble stone, with the farmhouse colourwashed and the barn whitewashed. The farmhouse is two storeys high, with a double-fronted design. It features roughcast end stacks and a high-door barn to its left, all under a single roofline. The farmhouse’s upper floor has two four-pane casement windows set under the eaves. Below are two smaller nine-pane hornless sash windows, featuring stone voussoirs and stone sills. A central plank door is topped with a cambered arch and stone voussoirs. The main facade is offset to the left. The barn incorporates a single high door with a cambered arch positioned to the right of the centre. A later, lower range is attached at a right angle to the left, partially obscuring the barn; this range has a north-facing entrance door in the angle, followed by a window, a door, and a window originally serving as a stable layout. Two further doors and a window complete the range. All windows are modern metal replacements, and the left end of the attached range has been partly rebuilt using cement blocks.
