Description

The barn range at Blaensawdde is a Grade II listed structure, built with whitewashed rubble stone and topped with a corrugated iron long roof. The barn features an entry on the right side of the center, which has a cambered headed opening and a date plaque from July 1834 above it, along with a vent loop to the left. There is a single door on the extreme right, positioned low due to the slope of the ground. To the left of the barn is a likely cowhouse, which has four doors with cambered heads, two of which are partially blocked to serve as windows. The second door from the right has a broad loft opening above it, extending up to the eaves. All openings, except for the loft, are adorned with painted stone voussoirs. The rear of the barn has a door with a timber lintel, flanked by vent loops on either side, and a small window to the left.

The barn section has a three-bay collar-truss roof, while the lofted section to the left consists of four bays, and the right end section has one bay and is not lofted.
