Description
The range of outbuildings at Cwmsawdde includes a barn and additional structures, built from whitewashed rubble stone and topped with slate roofs. The barn, located on the right, features a single central high door with a cambered head and stone voussoirs. It also has double doors, a loop window to the right, and a blocked loop to the left. There is a lean-to at the right end of the barn.
To the left, the range has a slightly lower roof and includes a plank door at the extreme right, a small window in the center, and a low cart entry to the left, which has a timber lintel. Outside steps lead up to a loft door on the end wall, and there is a corrugated iron addition to the right.
Inside, the barn boasts a five-bay roof supported by pegged pine collar trusses. There is a timber lintel above the lower door at the rear, with a loop window to the right. The end wall on the right shows evidence of an earlier building. A tall opening at the left end leads into a two-bay full-height section, with a loft above the cart-shed.
