Description

Capel Talsarn is a chapel, dating from the 18th century, constructed of blue-painted stucco with a slate roof. The front facade features six openings, comprising four narrow, small-paned sash windows with pointed heads. The two central windows are closely spaced, with a date plaque located between them. Two doors are positioned to either side of the facade, with the outer windows extending beyond them. The doors are 20th century additions, recessed within tall, pointed arches.

The west end has a slate-hung gable and an added outbuilding rendered with roughcast. This outbuilding has external steps leading to a first-floor room with a boarded door and a 12-pane sash window. The ground floor of the outbuilding has a boarded window, a plank door, and a letterbox dated before 1901, marked 'VR'. The east end wall incorporates a 16-pane sash window with stone voussoirs to its head. The rear wall features two long, 12-pane windows.

Inside, the chapel contains painted grained pews arranged in three blocks. Six rows are raked steeply up to the back wall, with two rows on each side of the pulpit and a large seat. A seat is situated directly in front of the pulpit, followed by a larger enclosed area. The pulpit features turned baluster angles, with similar turned angles to the platform. A simple ceiling rose is also present.
