Description

Bedw Hirion is a farmhouse constructed from rubble stone, featuring a slate roof and stone end stacks, with the larger stack positioned to the left. The stacks are adorned with weathercourses and thin stone cornices. The building is two stories high and has a three-window range that is offset to the right. It includes squared cornerstones and five-pane horned sash windows, which have stone voussoirs and stone sills. The center door, dating from the 20th century, also features similar voussoirs. A plaque on the building reads "Thomas Thomas AD 1796" along with a text from Hebrews III 4 in Welsh, which translates to "For every house is builded by some man but he that built all things is God."

At the rear, there is a lean-to that has partially collapsed. An outbuilding made of rubble stone with corrugated iron roofs is attached to the left end of the farmhouse. The front of this outbuilding has a lean-to and a door located at the extreme right. The end wall of the outbuilding contains a door with a timber lintel and a loft light positioned above it.

The house had been derelict, but the roof and floors were renewed in the late 20th century. The northern end retains an original large timber fireplace lintel dated 1796. The barn features truncated remains of scarfed crucks and two large chamfered beams.
