Description
Pemprys is a farmhouse and outbuilding constructed from rubble stone, with some traces of whitewash, and features a slate roof and stone end stacks with dripstones. The building has two storeys, with the upper end built into the slope. Attached to the lower end is a 19th-century lofted outbuilding that shares the same roofline but is made of dressed coursed rubble.
The long east-facing front has a facade that is offset to the right to accommodate a larger kitchen fireplace at the left end, which is indicated by a blocked fireplace window. There are three upper windows under the eaves, although the glazing is missing. On the ground floor, there is a large window to the left with a brick head, and a door in the centre that is aligned to the left of the middle window on the first floor. There are no openings to the right due to the rising ground. The door is a 19th-century board door with a stone slab lintel.
On the rear of the building, there is a central first-floor window and three ground-floor windows, with the heads stepped down the slope. The upper two windows are blocked, and all have slab lintels.
Attached to the downhill end of the farmhouse is a 19th-century lofted cow-house, which has three doors with brick heads; the left door is set lower due to the slope. There is also a first-floor centre loft door with brick heads. The cow-house has a straight joint to the farmhouse, and the rear features one vent loop. The property is not available for inspection.
