Description

Victoria Place consists of Nos. 12 and 14 Priory Street, a semi-detached pair of buildings dating from the 19th century. The elevations are rendered and painted, featuring chamfered quoins at all corners and topped with a Welsh slate roof. The buildings are three storeys high and are set at right angles to each other. No. 12 has two windows facing the street and three overlooking the garden, while No. 14 has three windows to the street and two to the garden.

The street elevation displays five window bays, with all windows on the left side and two on the top right being blind. The remaining windows are double hung sashes, with 8 over 8 panes on the ground floor, 6 over 6 on the first floor, and 3 over 6 on the top floor. There are round-headed doorways with fanlights and panel doors located in bays 2 and 4.

On the east side facing Monk Street, there are two window bays, although a small lean-to obscures part of the ground floor. The west side, which faces the garden, features three window bays and includes a hipped glass roof verandah on the ground floor. This verandah is supported by six delicate wrought iron panels with a panelled balustrade and has paired French casements. The eaves are bracketed, and the roof is hipped to both the south and west, with three large brick stacks. The interior has not been seen during the resurvey.
