Nos. 48-50 Maryport Street are a pair of cottages that are attached and stepped forward from the right side. They are rendered and painted, featuring a slate roof with a short brick ridge and end stacks. Each cottage has a single 12-pane sash window on each floor and a wide doorway to the right, which has a bracketed hood and a 6-panelled door. There is a plinth at the base.
