Description
Wood Cutter's Cottage is a pair of cottages located at 24 and 26 Maryport Street. They are roughcast rendered and feature contrasting colour-washing, topped with a long slate roof that has deep overhanging eaves and hipped roof dormers, with two dormers on each cottage. The cottages have tall brick ridge and end stacks, which include cornices and band courses. Each cottage has two window ranges; number 24 has 6-pane casements on either side of a boarded door, while number 26 features a glazed doorway to the right, a 16-pane casement window to the side, a renewed canted bay window to the left, and a boarded door at the far left. The cottages also have a painted plinth.
