Description

No. 3 Old Market Street is an early Victorian house that features later glazing. The building is stucco rendered and painted, topped with a shallow-pitched slate roof. The eaves extend to the left, where they meet the chapel, and the roof is hipped at the rear. The house has two storeys and includes two full-height canted bay windows, each with pitched slate roofs, situated directly under the eaves and fitted with 4-pane horned sashes. The central doorcase has a bracketed open pediment, narrow side panels, a diamond-glazed overlight, and a recessed 20th-century door. There is a low wall adjacent to the chapel pier, which has similar but shorter railings topped with spear finials.
