Description
The remains of the town walls, constructed from red sandstone rubble, are located behind Nevill Street. Only a few of the stones at the base can be considered ancient, while the majority, some reaching about 4 meters in height, has been rebuilt at a later date, with some sections being quite recent. The wall serves as the garden boundary for Nos. 5-29 (odd) Nevill Street and is tallest behind No. 11.
