Description
The Old Cider House at Great Manson Farm is a lofted cider house and granary, constructed from coursed red sandstone rubble. The roof is primarily covered with corrugated asbestos sheeting. It features a central camber-headed doorway with a boarded door and strap hinges, and there are camber-headed windows on either side. The roof has a moderate pitch and includes a catslide dormer at the center. The right gable end has stone steps leading up to the camber-headed doorway, with a small window to its left, and is topped with a coped gable. At the left end, there is a small block with a lower roof line that has a tiled roof.
Inside, there is a stone and timber cider mill located on the ground floor, although this was not seen during the resurvey.
