Description

The Carriage House at Maindiff Farm is a two-storey building constructed of red brick with a Welsh slate roof. It features a long range with a blind rear wall that adjoins a row of modernized cottages. On the ground floor, there are eight stilted arched carriage openings; three of these remain open, while five have been closed off with a brick wall and a 5-light window above. Additionally, there are two doorways and a window with a 4 + 4 casement in an elliptical head. The ground floor also includes four carriage openings on either side of a central round-arched access that leads to steps going up to the first floor. The first floor has eight 6 + 6 casement windows, along with a painted imitation 3 x 3 window. The interior details were not available at the time of the resurvey in June 1997.
