Description
The octagonal shelter, located in the grounds to the north of Pen-y-fal, is designed in a spa or seaside style. It features a timber structure with a roof made of new broadly corrugated steel sheeting. The roof is topped with a finial supported by corner pillars, which are designed as turned balusters in their upper halves. The eaves are decorated with boarded fretted valances. Inside, the shelter has four bays created by half-glazed screens with glazing bars. These screens are complemented by planked benches and splayed sides positioned midway between the main pillars, and the interior has a flat ceiling.
