Description
The octagonal shelter, located in the grounds to the south-west of Pen-y-fal, is designed in a spa or seaside style. It features a timber structure with a roof made of new broadly corrugated steel sheeting. The roof is topped with a finial supported by corner pillars, which are designed as turned balusters in their upper halves. The eaves are adorned with boarded fretted valances. Inside, the shelter contains four bays created by half-glazed screens that include glazing bars. These screens are complemented by planked benches and have splayed sides positioned midway between the main pillars, all beneath a flat ceiling.
