Description

The octagonal shelter, located in the grounds to the north of Pen-y-fal, is designed in a spa or seaside style. It features a timber structure with a roof covered in new broadly corrugated steel sheeting. The shelter is topped with a finial that is supported by corner pillars, which are shaped like turned balusters in their upper halves. The eaves are adorned with boarded fretted valances. Inside, the shelter has four bays created by half-glazed screens that include glazing bars. There are planked benches and splayed sides positioned between the main pillars, and the ceiling is flat.
