Description
The octagonal shelter, located in the grounds to the south of Pen-y-fal, is designed in a spa or seaside style. It is constructed from timber and features a roof covered with new broadly corrugated steel sheeting. The shelter has a finial supported by corner pillars, which are designed as turned balusters in their upper halves. The eaves are adorned with boarded fretted valances. Inside, the shelter contains four bays created by half-glazed screens that include glazing bars. There are planked benches and splayed sides positioned between the main pillars, and the ceiling is flat.
