Description
The coach-house in the Pontypool Park estate yard is a building constructed of coursed squared white limestone, topped with a Welsh slate roof. It stands two storeys high and features three double coach-house doors on the ground floor, along with three windows above. The doors are boarded and have segmental heads, while the windows are casements with vertical panes, also in segmental heads. To the left, there is a single-storey wing that projects at right angles to the main structure. This wing is contemporary with the main part and includes one window similar to those above, as well as a plank door with a segmental head. The main block has an access door to the upper floor, located at the top of external stairs on the gable end. The interior was not inspected during the resurvey in November 1996.
