Barn Range including cow-house at Swffryd-ganol

The building is a barn range that includes a cow-house, located at Swffryd-ganol and designated as Grade II. It is constructed of rubble with a steeply pitched metal-sheeted roof and is built into the slope at the eastern end. The barn faces north and features a later lean-to porch on the right side, which leads to tall barn doors. This porch has a stone-tiled roof and there is also a small later lean-to structure at the angle with the front wall of the barn.

To the left of the porch, there is a boarded door leading into the stable, which has a cambered stone voussoired head. The stable door is flanked by windows, with a 20th-century window on the right and a left window that has a brick head. At the rear left, there is a long single-storey cowshed range consisting of nine bays, topped with a slate roof. This cowshed features four-pane windows and boarded doors, all with cambered brick heads. The arrangement of doors and windows from left to right is: WDWWDWWDW.

Inside, the barn has a collar truss roof made of sawn timbers, and there is a stone dividing wall between the barn and the stable. The stable contains three-bay stalls with chamfered posts and boarded divisions. The cowshed has a kingpost roof supported by angle struts.
