Former Navigation Colliery Baths

The Former Navigation Colliery Baths is a long single-storey building constructed with brown brick, which is mostly painted. It features two linked parallel gabled sections at the north, a central plenum tower for the water tanks and hot air system, and a boilerhouse with a chimney at the south. The roof is made of corrugated material and concrete. The two gabled sections, which used to house lockers—clean on one side and dirty on the other—are seven bays long, with a flat-roofed area in between that formerly contained showers. The entrance block at the front has a flat roof and a parapet, while the rear includes the plenum tower. The adjacent boilerhouse, which once housed boilers for heating water for the showers and air for the drying lockers, is also flat-roofed with a parapet. It features a slightly tapered chimney adorned with blue brick decoration in a simple Art Deco style, which includes a thin vertical panel on each side and a pierced capping band, along with three metal-framed windows on the side.

Inside, the building retains its main H-plan layout, with metal trusses supporting the long rooms. To the left of the entrance, the toilet block still has white tiling.
