Former Navigation Colliery Power House and Pump House

The former Navigation Colliery Power House and Pump House is a long rectangular, symmetrical single-storey building. It is constructed of high-quality red and yellow engineering brick, with the yellow brick slightly projecting and forming a stepped pattern at the quoins, pilasters, plinth, and cornice, creating a grid effect. The building features a Welsh slate roof with overhanging eaves and two gabled ridge ventilators.

There are three gables, each covering two bays at the center and ends, separated by two three-bay ranges. The front has a range of twelve deep round-arched openings with multipane metal-framed fixed glazing; two of these openings are doorways with similar glazed heads. All the openings have narrow keystones and shallow sills, and there are roundels in the three gables. The southern gable end features a single roundel, while the northern gable end has a doorway in the central bay, which has been altered. At the rear, there is a steeply pitched lean-to wing with low round-arched windows similar to those at the front. Most windows are now blocked inside, but many glazing bars remain visible.
