Former Navigation Colliery Offices

The Former Navigation Colliery Offices is a small rectangular single-storey building constructed from high-quality red and yellow patterned engineering brick, matching other colliery structures. It features a Welsh slate roof with overhanging eaves, although the roof is no longer intact. The building is distinguished by a hipped roof and decorative moulded Gibbs surrounds in concrete around the windows. There are three tall yellow brick stacks.

The front elevation facing the valley has a range of six windows, but no frames survive. The windows have cambered-arched heads with keystones, and there is a decoratively stepped eaves band above. The side elevation, which faces the approach from Crumlin, includes a projecting flat-roofed porch bay with similar windows and a side doorway, flanked by additional windows and very decoratively stepped eaves.

Inside, a passage lined with yellow and white brick runs through the center of the building, connecting two doorways, with the second doorway leading to the main terrace. The rooms on either side of the passage were rendered.
