Description

The building is a rubble-stone barn with a slate roof, located at Church House Farm. The wagon bay is positioned to the right of the center and features a full-height doorway with boarded doors; the left side door is original, while the right side door is a later split door. There are two ventilation strips to the right and a low shuttered opening. Additionally, there is a loft opening with a sliding door and a ventilation strip. To the left of the doorway, there are three ventilation strips, and a boarded loft opening with a ventilation strip to its right. Further to the left is a boarded stable door. The left gable end has an added lean-to and a boarded loft opening.

To the right, the earlier range has a continuous roof line with the barn and is constructed with weatherboarding and blockwork walls, featuring both double and single doors. Adjacent to the right gable end are two pigsties under a stone-tile roof, which have boarded doors and walled pens at the rear.

On the rear of the barn, there is a boarded winnowing door offset to the left of center, flanked by two tiers of ventilation strips. A small opening is present in the stable at the right end.

Although not inspected, the barn is reported by RCAHM Wales to have a three-bay roof, and the earlier range is said to retain a 17th-century cruck truss, which is visible from the exterior.
