Description
The entrance to Tredegar Grounds features an entrance bay with four piers. The two outer piers are connected to the two inner piers by modern curved railings, which include fixings for the gates and relief lettering. The tall rectangular piers are made of red and blue plain and moulded brick, topped with ashlar caps and stone orb finials, although only one finial remains. Each of the four brick faces has terracotta plaques that are moulded with a stag's head. The entrance is completed with iron railings that have looped tops and small finials, along with swept iron double gates that link the piers.
