Description
The castellated boundary wall to the ha-ha east and south of Ruperra Castle begins below the summer house and runs southwest to meet the ha-ha. From this point, it curves in a broad arc to the east and continues due west, bordering one of the drives. The section of the wall that runs along the ha-ha and the adjacent part are both castellated. The wall itself appears to date from the late 18th century to early 19th century, while the castellations were likely added around 1910, during significant improvements to the estate. The gateways are made of different, bull-nosed, greyer masonry with concrete capstones and vase or urn finials, although some gates are missing.
