Description
The walled garden and Ha-Ha wall, located to the east and south of Greystone Hall, likely date from the 18th century. They are constructed from coursed sandstone rubble. The garden wall extends approximately 15 metres to the east, 20 metres to the north, 15 metres to the west, and then 10 metres south to connect with the rear of the house. This wall stands about 2.0 to 2.5 metres high and features flat coping. The southern section includes a quadrant ramp leading to the east. The low Ha-Ha wall connects the west end of the garden wall to the west return of the house and has a semicircular shape. It features a quadrant ramp and low gate piers with rounded tops at each end. The end sections of the Ha-Ha wall have flat coping, while the central section has a roughly-chamfered coping course. This structure is included for its group value.
