Description
The Manor House is a large house built in the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the late 19th century. It is constructed of dressed sandstone and has a graduated green slate roof with stone stacks. The building features a three-storey, three-bay front that includes a low plinth, tooled quoins, and sill bands on both the ground and first floors. The window openings have raised surrounds.
In the left bay, there is a part-glazed four-panel door with a radial fanlight set within an open-pedimented Tuscan doorcase. To the right of the door, there are two 2-pane sash windows with a panelled apron beneath. On the first floor, a 2-pane sash window is located to the left, while a large late 19th-century canted oriel window is positioned to the right. The second floor features three 4-pane sash windows. The house has a low-pitched hipped roof above a continuous eaves cornice, which includes two corniced lateral stacks on the returns.
