Description

This is a house, originally built as a service wing attached to the left side of The Manor House (No. 5 Tees View). It dates from the early 19th century, with alterations made in the late 20th century. The house is constructed of dressed sandstone, with a graduated green slate roof and a stone stack.

The two-storey, four-bay front has a low plinth and horizontal bands marking the ground and first floor window sills. Door and window openings have raised surrounds. A part-glazed six-panel door is located in the right bay. There are two tripartite windows to the left; these have a six-pane central sash and three-pane side sashes. A blocked doorway in the left bay has a nine-pane sash window inserted. The first floor has similar windows. The moderately-pitched roof features a central stepped and corniced ridge stack. The building is included on the heritage register for its contribution to the group value of the surrounding buildings.
