Description

These are four cottages built in 1824 by the Tredegar Estate, constructed in a simple Gothick style. They are single-storey and two-window cottages, arranged as two pairs that mirror each other. The end cottages have doorways at their ends, whereas the central cottages have doorways in the middle. A small date stone is situated between the two central doorways. The windows and doorways have pointed arches, accentuated with tooled stone dressings. The roofs are hipped and have replacement pan tiles, with roughcast ridge stacks. The front elevation is pebble-dashed. The front doors are boarded and fitted with cast iron strap hinges. The two-light casement windows have been partly renewed within their original openings. Originally, the cottages followed a two-room layout, although the interior was not inspected during the survey.
