Description

Willow Cottage is a row of four cottages built in 1824 by the Tredegar Estate. The cottages, which are in a simple Gothick style, are single-storey and two-window wide, arranged in two pairs that reflect each other. The outer cottages have doorways at each end, while the inner cottages have doorways in the centre. A small date stone is set between the two central doorways. The windows and doorways have pointed heads and are surrounded by tooled stone dressings. The roofs are hipped with replacement pan tiles, and the cottages have roughcast ridge stacks.

The cottages have been pebble-dashed and painted white. The windows are two-light casements with Y-tracery heads. The front doors are boarded and feature cast iron strap hinges. A projection has been added to the rear of the building. Originally, the cottages had a two-room plan, although this was not inspected at the time of survey.
