Description
The summerhouse located to the north-east of Ruperra Castle is a garden building that showcases simple Gothic and Arts and Crafts influences. It is a single-storey, open-fronted stone structure topped with an overhanging stone-slate roof, which was partly missing at the time of inspection in July 1998. The front features a symmetrical design with three bays, supported by two stop-chamfered wooden columns set on a dwarf wall that has curved-fronted coping, providing garden seats. Additional low walls extend at right angles to flank the entrance. The gable ends are asymmetrical and include Gothic 2-light Y-tracery windows with voussoirs, while the rear wall is blank.
