Description
Gelli-groes Millhouse and the attached barn is a 2-storey building set at an angle to the road, featuring a 3-window range house in the center, a 2-window range cottage to the right sharing the same ridge, and a single-storey barn range to the left that is now a workshop. The structure is built of roughcast rubble with a Welsh slate roof, and has a red brick end and ridge stack, while the workshop has a corrugated roof.
The central unit has 9-pane horned sash windows on the first floor and 12-pane sash windows on the ground floor, both with cambered heads. There is a central doorway with a 4-panelled door. The cottage unit to the right has replacement casement windows on the upper floor and retains a 6-pane sash window on the ground floor, along with a boarded door to the side. The workshop, made of limewashed rubble, features a low double doorway with a brick relieving arch flanked by additional doorways. The barn is currently used as a candlemaker's workshop.
