Description
The stable range at Tyle-gwyn is a long structure with a loft above, built into the hillside so that the rear appears as a single storey with separate access at that level. It is constructed of narrow coursed stone rubble and features a shallow pitched corrugated roof.
At ground level, there are six doorways with stone lintels and relieving arches above, along with small putlog-style holes that may have been used for former posts. At the right end, there is a wider carriage arch, and to the left, a small four-pane window. Above these, two small loft windows are present, one of which has six panes. The gable end includes a loft doorway. The rear of the building has ventilation slits and three doors. In front of the stable range, there is a cobbled apron with a stone channel designed to collect water from cleaning out, along with a slab crossing in front of each stable door.
Inside, the stable retains flag floors, and the loft floor is still in place.
